What a performance.
Offaly’s Shane Lowry won the WGC Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Ohio tonight, his first tournament win on the PGA Tour and securing $1.5 million pay day.
Sports fans all over were glued to their TV’s as the 28 year old held his nerve to finish on 11 under, two shots ahead of second place Bubba Watson, to record an historic victory.
