The Lions came to win and to scrap from every single ball.
Warren Gatland’s men went into the Second Test knowing it was win or bust. The Lions had recalled Maro Itoje, Sam Warburton and Johnny Sexton to their starting XV and everyone was raving about the trio after a pulsating opening half.
Sexton’s restarts were on the money, Warburton was a dog at the breakdown but it was Itoje that got the most praise.
The England lock won two first half turnovers, made six strong carries, five lusty tackles and was a demon at the ruck. His clear-outs were simply incredible.
Lions fans were raving about Itoje and many viewers at home were delighted with his new chant.
