VIDEO: Paddy Holohan speaks to SportsJOE about Smolka, the IV ban and what he’d change in MMA

Who doesn't love a bit of The Hooligan?

Is Paddy Holohan going to be the next Irishman to fight for a UFC title?

It could well be the case considering how very shallow the flyweight division is and how impressive the Jobstown fighter has been in his UFC career.

The Hooligan has gone 3-1 in the UFC since his promotional debut when the octagon came to Dublin last July.

And Holohan could be about to break into the top 15 at 125 lbs if he gets past the highly touted Louis Smolka at UFC Dublin III.

The SBG fighter essentially called out Smolka after Holohan’s latest win, a unanimous decision victory over Vaughan Lee in Glasgow, and The Hooligan wants to get vengeance after Smolka beat Holohan’s fellow Dub, Neil Seery.

We got the chance to sit down with Paddy in the run-up to the fight and the conversation floated between his upcoming bout, the impending IV ban and the one element of mixed martial arts that he’d change if given the chance.
