The Answer is, without doubt, the next man up to fight for the featherweight title.
Frankie Edgar made short, brutal work of Chad Mendes in the TUF Finalé in Las Vegas last night.
The New Jersey native knocked out Money in the first round of their main event encounter and, in the process, bagged $50,000 for Performance of the Night.
Edgar has now beaten everyone that matters in the featherweight division, barring Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor, and was assured by UFC president Dana White that his title shot is coming.
“I had a good talk with Dana and I think I’m getting that title shot,” he stated.
“I don’t know how it’s going to happen but I got the good news… Chad is one of the toughest guys in the division if not the toughest behind Aldo.”
White told reporters, “Nobody can deny Frankie anymore. He looked amazing tonight, and he’ll get whatever he wants.”
If McGregor gets the win, in the early hours of Sunday morning, he’ll have to answer to Edgar.
