Video: Floyd Mayweather’s uncle says an amateur boxer would ‘whoop’ Conor McGregor

“He’d f****** beat him with one hand.”

Jeff Mayweather isn’t buying Conor McGregor’s claim that he’d be able to go toe-to-toe with his nephew Floyd Mayweather Jr.

During an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s chat show last week, the Notorious said he’d be more than happy to ‘dance around’ the boxing ring with Mayweather in return for $180 million.

However, Jeff Mayweather, says McGregor would struggle against an amateur boxer, never mind the best boxer of his generation.

“What you got to realize is Floyd’s at the absolute top of the sport. He’s not some nobody’s just walking into the gym. Because one of these guys, even a top MMA guy, if he steps in a boxing ring, strictly boxing, he’d get his ass whooped by an amateur,” the former boxer says in the video below, posted to Floyd Mayweather’s official YouTube page.

One thing about MMA guys — they are tough. They’re really tough, but to be honest, if you’re talking about a ten round fight, nah, they won’t make ten rounds. Because they will be getting hit so much, so flush, so clean. If it’s a four-rounder, yeah, they might make a four-rounder. He might be beat up really bad, but they might make four rounds.

Jeff Mayweather is a former professional boxer, and has worked as a boxing coach for UFC Heavyweight Roy Nelson.

This is the latest in a back and forth between the two fighters. McGregor said a few months ago that he’d ‘kill’ Mayweather, who responded by calling McGregor ‘a joke‘.

There’s only one way to settle this:

Summer 2016, Croke Park – Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao versus Jose Aldo and Floyd Mayweather in a tag-team match, with Garth Brooks as special guest referee.

Let’s get it on!
