Sweet mother of mercy.
Earlier today, we reported that Joanna Jędrzejczyk was set for a title bout with Polish compatriot Karolina Kowalkiewicz. That fight has now been confirmed and, of course, the UFC straw-weight title is on the line.
The champion will take on the No.2 contender with her perfect MMA record set to be tested by a fighter on the rise.
UFC 205 will play host to its second title fight – the first being Tyron Woodley vs Stephen Thompson – as well as the return of deposed bantamweight champion Miesha Tate.

Cupcake beat Holly Holm for the strap but lost it to Amanda Nunés at UFC 200. Raquel Pennington is ranked No.8 in the bantamweight division but is on a three-fight winning streak since losing to Holm at UFC 184.
Given the issues and disputes concerning UFC 205 over the past week – Al Iaquinta and Eddie Alvarez looked to have missed out while Chris Weidman vs. Yoel Romero is still up in the air – the promotion will be delighted to have two solid female bouts on the card.
