John Kavanagh doesn’t mess around.
Conor McGregor’s head coach made a promise last week to bring a brave teenager to SBG to take an MMA class.
Times had gotten so tough for 15-year-old Carlos Wolfe that he and his mother had been forced to sleep rough in Phoenix Park while Carlos studied for his Junior Cert.
The Wolfe’s story came out on Liveline last week and, after receiving his Junior Cert results, Carlos said that he told his mother: “I’m going to make something of myself, I know that.”
Kavanagh reached out to The Mirror, who had also reported Carlos’ story, and got into contact with the young man, offering an outlet in mixed martial arts.
.@Adelina_CdC is there anyway of contacting http://t.co/V1xQV1IDyV @IrishMirror ? Carlos Wolfe sounds like impressive young man

And Ireland’s first BJJ black belt came good on his promise, revealing that Carlos had already popped into the gym on the Naas Road to see Kavanagh and UFC fighters Paddy Holohan and Aisling Daly.
John Kavanagh – one of the good guys.
