PIC: Proof that Conor McGregor fibbed on his UFC 189 pre-fight medical to get clearance

Just a white lie

We’re all well aware that Conor McGregor wasn’t 100% when he fought Chad Mendes in July.

The extent of the knee injury sustained by The Notorious emerged at a Q&A event last month when he said: “14 weeks before the fight I tore 80% of my ACL.

“I could barely walk, I could barely kick. So, once again, I had a lot of adversity to overcome.”

We now have proof that McGregor made the decision not to disclose his injury to the athletic commission because he would have been pulled from the fight if his ligament injury was discovered by the doctor.

A photo of the pre-fight medical forms filled out by all fighters competing in Vegas was published on reddit on Monday and we can see that McGregor most definitely ticked “no” under the section where he was asked to disclose any leg injuries.

There’s nothing spectacularly newsworthy about a fighter refusing to admit that he’s injured but it’s just interesting to see the proof of McGregor’s determination to compete.
