UFC is coming back to Ireland.
Irishman Dave Allen, the company’s European chief, confirmed the news today to MMA junkie, saying further details should be confirmed in the next 11 days.
“I guarantee we’re going to go back to Ireland this year,” Allen said. “We definitely will be going. In the next 10 to 11 days we will release details of when our tickets are going on sale.”
“I want to go back home, have a pint of Guinness maybe, so yes we’re definitely going.” Allen said
Allen also revealed UFC hope to host events in Russia, France, Africa and the Middle East, but immediate focus will now turn to the Irish date, with further details to be announced on July 1st.
The event, which looks likely to be in October at the 3Arena, will be the third time the UFC has staged an event on Irish soil. The last event was last July, when Conor McGregor took on Diego Brandao at UFC Fight Night 46.
