Conor McGregor’s a trash talker? Who knew?
The Notorious has spend the past few months relentlessly promoting his fight, trash talking and getting under the skin of his rivals.
So he was hardly going to stop when he finally got into the octagon.
Chad Mendes has revealed that the Dublin fighter was constantly talking and verbally baiting him during their bout.
“The guy didn’t stop talking shit the entire time,” Mendes said.
“I was hitting him with everything I had and the guy was still running his mouth, that’s Conor I guess. I’d land this giant elbow on his face and he’s say ‘that all you got?’ stuff like that.”
McGregor confirmed Mendes’ claims, saying that his trash talking was all part of his game plan.
“I spoke to him during every single exchange. I told him you’re in with a different animal now.”
Mendes also revealed that he’s looking forward to the inevitable McGregor Aldo fight, and was gracious in defeat.
“Jose is a different beast, man, he’s a tough beast. That’s a fight I’m interested in watching and it’s gonna be a good one.”
