Fair to say that we would still be thrashing around trying to get the ball out
Branden Grace could feel entitled to take the rest of the day off after this incredible shot at the Qatar Masters in Doha this morning.
The South African began the day on 9 under as part of a three man group who led at the half way point. He had mixed form early during his third round until his tee shot at six ended under a tree in the rough. The ball landed in such a difficult position that trying to get any strike to force it onto the green was going to prove almost impossible but somehow Grace manged to line up just a few feet from the pin.
He then recovered in classic style by securing a birdie when he would have been fortunate to get a par or even a bogey. He deserves an extra large glass of his favourite beverage later for his efforts.
You won’t believe where @BrandenGrace just made birdie from. http://t.co/i87FQDQidM

He’s currently one shot off the lead on 10 under, just behind Eddie Pepperell and Bernd Wiesberger
