Shane Lowry produced the best golf of his life to earn a top 10 finish at the US Open.
It was the Offaly man’s highest placed finish at a major.
But like the rest of Ireland Lowry was clearly stunned and shocked by the devastating accident last week at Berkeley.
The 28-year-old from Clara paid tribute to the victims in his own touching way by wearing black in each round over the four days at Chambers Bay.
