Rory McIlroy has a snap of Padraig Harrington and Sergio Garcia kissing at his wedding

Rory McIlroy is back at it on the golfing circuit and still determined to drop more pounds after a lavish wedding at Ashford Castle and an even more luxurious honeymoon. Ahead of his playing return at The Players' Championship, at Sawgrass, McIlroy chatted with the press about his wedding to Erica Stoll last month. "It was awesome," McIlroy exclaimed when asked about the ceremony.

"It was obviously the best weekend of my life and hopefully the best weekend of Erica's, as well. But, yeah, it was really cool. Just we obviously tried to keep it as private as possible. We didn't... it was between our friends and families, and we didn't really want anything else. "It was really good. It was a weekend of celebrations. People got in the Friday night. We sort of had a welcome reception. Obviously you got the whole wedding day on Saturday, and we had a farewell brunch on Sunday. So we spent three really nice days with the people that we cherished the most, and that was really special."

The Holywood golfer told The Golf Channel:

"Things get blown up in the media sometimes. They’ve played in Ryder Cups together and stuff, and obviously they’ve had their battles. "But they’re great. They seemed to get on well that weekend."

With that, McIlroy took out his iPhone and showed journalists at the press briefing a snap of Garcia getting set to plant a big kiss on a smiling Harrington's cheek. The Ryder Cup teammates have definitely got through their rocky patch and McIlroy has a nice screensaver for his phone.
