PIC: Tiger Woods sad decline summed up in one terrible tee-shot

He didn't even make it to the ladies tee

We reckon we could probably kick a golf ball farther than this

We take absolutely no pleasure in the following story but let it be a lesson to all your high and mighty sports stars of the present.

Some day your powers will fade and you too will fail to hit a tee-shot at a major ranking tournament beyond the ladies tee-box.

Tiger Woods was once one of the world’s best sportsmen, but his decline over the last few years has been alarming and terribly sad to see.

Sure he has some good days, but those brief highlights almost serve to remind us even more acutely how bad he has really become over the last six years through injury and off-the-course distractions

Today he was in action again at the Players Championship and at the second hold of the afternoon his drive from the tee was measured by the PGA tour at 105 yards.

The shot left him 420 yards to the hole on a par-5 and 70 yards from the beginning of the fairway, and the ladies tee, as he limped to a double bogey seven.

At the time of writing he’s now three over after six holes
