You’d have put money on Stephen Cluxton making this routine save.
The Dublin keeper had an absolute nightmare at the beginning of the Allianz Football League Division 1 clash against Down.
With the game ties at a point a piece, Donal O’Hare tried to fire over a point from distance under pressure from his marker. The Burren clubman didn’t get quite as much power as he would have liked though, as his effort fell short of the goal and looked like it was going to land safely into Cluxton’s hands.
Unfortunately, for the Dublin skipper his hands were as safe as houses.. during a housing crisis. The drooping ball slipped out of his hands on the line and trickled into the net for a goal.
O’Hare didn’t even celebrate giving his side the lead, which gives a good indication of how bad of an error it was.
It's not often you see Cluxton make a mistake like this! Down-Dublin highlights to come on https://t.co/mRPe9DhiT8 pic.twitter.com/zC3QZbvz8o
