Cork came for three-in-a-row, Kilkenny refused to bow.
The Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Final was special. The Cats stormed to glory for the first time in 22 years with a 1-13 to 1-9 victory over their Munster opponents and it was a performance of pure grit as well as talent.

The bite displayed by Kilkenny throughout was probably more down to the fact that they were in an All-Ireland final, vying to end over two decades of hurt, looking to banish the Cork supremacy.
Some of it though might’ve been sparked by the pre-game antics of Hannah Looney.
The Rebels’ wing forward came face to face with Kilkenny’s Collette Dormer during the handshakes before the senior decider threw in and it provoked a reaction from the corner back.

The greatest reaction was seen on the scoreboard though.
