VIDEO: Kildare’s Daniel Flynn carries the ball from his own half and thumps in a crazy goal against Westmeath

Outrageous.

Jesus, just when we thought Luke Connolly’s and Michael Murphy’s respective efforts from the sideline were the most special things to happen this weekend, Daniel Flynn goes and does this.

Kildare beat Westmeath 2-9 to 0-11 in a crunch clash in Division Three and it was the former AFL player that lit the place up with the most individual of individual goals.

The 22-year-old – that’s right – who was out with Port Adelaide for just over a year, hit one of the best scores we’ll see for the rest of the season when he picked the ball up in his own half and took it the whole way to the goals.

Hit with a shoulder tackle, slapped on the head and then evading a tame enough last tackle, Flynn went straight for the jugular with frightening pace and he found the top corner effortlessly.

This really is something else.
