Everything you need to know about GAA interviews in four brilliant minutes.
Snapchat’s face swap filter has been threatening to take over the world – the Snapchat world at least. And, ever since the app allowed you to upload saved photos to mould into your face, you can’t open it anymore without the same old jokes.
One Irish man has found the best use for it though.
A series of GAA pundits and managers are grilled by Colm Parkinson in this impersonation skit and they are bang on.
It’s one thing getting a good impression but getting the right content is the funniest of it all and, with some of these interviews, you’d think you’re just watching another classic Irish show, despairing for the GAA.
Jim Gavin
– “A lot of people can’t look past Dublin – maybe Kerry to a lesser extent – what’s your own thoughts on the whole thing?
– “Ah, look, ah, it’s anyone’s championship really. Erm, both teams are going to fight for it, you know, and they’re just looking forward to carrying on with their inter-county careers.
Davy Fitz
– “Who do you think’s going to take Sam this year?”
– “I’m saying nothing Colm. I’m not saying a word. You’re trying to coax something out of me and I know ye boys in the media and stuff – I’m not paranoid or anything but I’m saying nothing.”
Pat Spillane
– “To be honest with you Joe, Tyrone are finished. You just can’t look past the Dubs. The Dubs have a plan A, a plan B, a plan C.”
Brian Cody
– “Who do you think will win the football championship, Brian?”
– “It’s hard to say at this stage of the year. Every game takes on a life of its own.”
