It’s been a short seven weeks since Dublin lifted Sam Maguire for the 25th time after an intense final against fierce rivals Kerry.
Just when all the Philly McMahon this and Kieran Donaghy that had died down, the whole affair was revisited as Loosehorse TV’s documentary into the All-Ireland football final was aired on RTÉ on Monday night.
And GAA fans across the length and breadth of the country heaped praise on the eye-opening programme.
Really enjoyed #AllIrelandDay documentary on RTE… Always great rivalry between Kerry and Dublin, captured very well.

Painful but a great prod of the #AllIrelandDay Kerry lost a game, the Kerins family lost so much more. Kudos to all involved, even the ref!

What a fantastic show @RTEgaa @TheSundayGame @rte #allirelandday should do one for the hurling next year!
— David Kent (@KentoCCFC) November 9, 2015
Referee David Coldrick, mic’d up, stole the show.
Excellent insight into #AllIrelandDay Serious banter between Coldrick and the boys! Ref's mic should be broadcast more often! @RTEgaa
— Lorna Merrins (@lornamerrins) November 9, 2015
Hugh respect for ref David Coldrick after watching #AllIrelandDay on RTE. Best in country yet has zero ego & has respect for all players.
— Wayne Kierans (@WayneKierans) November 9, 2015
The disparity between the respect shown to rugby refs and GAA refs is crazy- Great to get an insight into it #Coldrick #AllIrelandDay

Coldrick showing why he's the best ref in Ireland #AllIrelandDay

While commentator Darragh Maloney was also praised.

That's some kitchen @DarraghMaloney has by the looks of it. Looking forward to #AllIrelandDay on @rte 1 shortly

But the main topic of conversation was always going to be just one thing.
#AllIrelandDay Great documentary. The McMahon incident: A disgrace. How was Donaghy not sent off for grabbing Philly's finger with his eye?
— IrishFlukey (@IrishFlukey) November 9, 2015
How well the man telling the ref everything didn't spot McMahon gouging Donaghy but saw Sheehan slap some dub in the face #AllIrelandDay 👀

#AllIrelandDay. Lovely Programme. Unfortunately ref Goldrick got it badly wrong re fouling of Donaghy by Philly McMahon
