The new Sligo GAA jersey is a tasty little bad boy

And it’s still black and everything so, you know, slimming…

Sligo GAA have officially launched their new kit for 2016 and it’s a delicious little number.

The jersey made its debut in Clare on Sunday as the Connacht men got their Division Three campaign up and running but to a losing start.

Sponsored by biopharmaceutical company AbbVie, the west coast footballers are sporting no collar again but not even a hint of a trimming on this ensemble. Instead, a little white uncer-collar thingy.

It’s a slight move away from the geansaí of last season but it is every bit as wearable with Niall Murphy and Neil Ewing going toe-to-toe with Brendan Egan in our jersey-off.

Sligo welcome Westmeath to Markievicz Park on Sunday (throw-in: 2pm) and it will be a chance for supporters to see the new rig in action at home for the first time.

We’re fans anyway. Another success from Kukri.
