Borrisoleigh is the place to be this Saturday.
The lights will be on, Bishop Quinlan Park be buzzing and the legends of Tipperary and Kilkenny will return for one night and for one night only.
The greatest rivalry the GAA has ever been lucky enough to witness will be rekindled in north Tipperary on Saturday as the two teams face off in aid of the Amanda Stapleton benefit fund.
Amanda Stapleton, a 31-year-old teacher from Borrisoleigh has an inoperable brain tumour. She’s the sister of Paddy Stapleton, the teak tough corner back who wore number two or number four for the Premier County for so many of those unforgettable Tipperary Kilkenny battles.
The whole GAA community, in Tipperary, in Kilkenny and further afield have rallied around the Stapleton family in recent weeks to give them a helping hand ahead of the journey that lies ahead.
Some of the best former and current hurlers will be lining out with Liam Sheedy managing the Tipperary group and DJ Carey over the Kilkenny men.
The sheer number of players getting behind the great cause shows the power of the GAA community, with over 60 hurlers set to be there in support.
You can support this great cause by purchasing a ticket for the event right here.
The jerseys they’re going to be wearing, designed by Bourke Sports are class and they can be purchased on the Bourke Sports website here.
The goalie jerseys are also sweet.
All roads lead to Borrisoleigh.
