The 2016 All-Star football team has been named.
The GAA make the championship draw seven months in advance in a 90-minute show on prime time TV and they throw the All-Stars out at 7 in the morning.
Six Dubliners have been named on the 2016 outfit with Jonny Cooper, Philly McMahon, Brian Fenton, Diarmuid Connolly, Ciaran Kilkenny and Dean Rock all picking up awards.
Beaten finalists, Mayo, have four men represented with David Clarke in goal and Colm Boyle, Lee Keegan and Brendan Harrison all taking up slots in the backline.
Not one man has been picked from Connacht champions Galway but Ulster kingpins Tyrone have two on the list with Mattie Donnelly and Peter Harte both honoured.
Paul Geaney is the only Kerry man to win an award this year whilst Ryan McHugh of Donegal and Tipperary’s Michael Quinlivan make up the 15.
