How do you defend against a team like Corofin?
Their players never ever stop moving, the player in possession always gives the simple pass, then they’re gone again. Simple game, really and on Sunday in Croke Park, Dr Crokes just couldn’t cope with them.
The ball hops around their forward line like it would in a pinball machine the only difference being that when it’s in Corofin hands, it’s always in control.
The club final took a few minutes to get going on a sunny Croker Sunday but when Corofin found their rhythm, there wasn’t a fear of them looking back.
It was Jason Leonard who finished off the first goal for them. Pass and move, that’s the mantra, and that man Leonard was just on the end of it.
Farragher worked it across, he was unusually blocked down but he was sure as hell going to make up for it. Molloy was there in support, Farragher put it in his path and with the most delicate of touches, the long-hairded bomber flicked it into Leonard’s path.
Cool as you like to finish it.

Crokes weren’t as clinical on the other end of the field and that would come back to bite them.
Fifteen minutes on and Corofin were on the hunt again. If ever there was a goal to sum them up, this was it.
Wall onto Farragher, a gorgeous reverse pass to Burke. He could take the point, not a chance of it.
Burke gives it to his namesake Ian. He’s the danger-man but he’s also extremely unselfish like the rest of them. Sice is there unmarked, he’s found and he palms it home.
Not one Corofin player is selfish. Every one of them looks for the man in the best positionpic.twitter.com/Z87qnx53vC

Liquid stuff. They’re some team.
