Say what you want about Enda Kenny, but his GAA prediction skills are on point

Played a blinder

Ben Kiely

Call him ‘Mystic Enda,’ because he predicts these things.

Whoever said politics and sport don’t mix obviously never met the soon-to-be former Taoiseach Enda Kenny.

The Castlebar native loves the stuff. He can’t get enough it.

Whether the game is played with an oval ball…

…or if it’s played with no ball at all, Kenny will try his best to mix.

However, his favourite of them all might just be the national game itself – GAA.

At least, we assume that’s the case.

It seems like a fair assumption to make of someone who owns a full Mayo GAA tracksuit featuring his initials monogrammed on the pants.

Although he’s stepping down from his swanky gig, which must be a bit of a buzzkill, his spirits will have been lifted  on Sunday.

Not only did his beloved Mayo score an emphatic victory over provincial rivals Sligo, but he also predicted the score correctly.

0-11 to 2-14… amazing.

Is there anything he can’t do?

Feel free to answer that question in the comments.
