A Roscommon club is hosting an event that will be of interest to all GAA fans this weekend

Featuring Joe Brolly and a host of well-known guests.

Well worth checking out for GAA fans in the west.

Ever controversial and always entertaining pundit Joe Brolly heads an impressive cast of names that will appear at a much-anticipated fundraising event hosted by Boyle GAA club in Roscommon this Friday.

Titled ‘The Road to Croker, an evening with GAA decision makers, change makers and trouble makers’, the event will feature plenty of lively discussion from a host of well-known GAA names from past and present in St Joseph’s Hall in Boyle this Friday, June 30.

Brolly will be joined on the night by his RTÉ colleague Martin Carney, two-time All-Ireland winning manager John O’Mahony, legendary Roscommon goalkeeper Shane Curran, Connacht GAA secretary John Prenty, former Galway footballer and Dublin selector Brian Talty and Collie Moran, former Dublin footballer and columnist with The Irish Sun.

Amongst the topics up for discussion, the panel will give their views on the current state of Gaelic Football and the direction in which it is headed, while attendees will be invited to submit questions to the panel to provoke plenty of interesting (and possibly heated) debate.

The event will be MCed by Boyle senior manager Tomás Morley and there will also be a cameo from JOE’s own Conor’s Sketches, who has prepared a special sketch for the event; those in attendance can expect these kinds of antics from Ger Loughnane, Joe Brolly and company on the night…

Admission for the event is €10, while there will be a raffle on the night for an All-Ireland Football Final weekend in Dublin, including two tickets to the final itself. A donation from the proceeds will be made to the Irish Kidney Association.
