Galway were dumped out of the championship this evening in Croke Park after a 10-point defeat to Donegal but some of them got what they came for: Rachel Wyse’s attention.
Some lads from the west made the journey to Dublin for the round four qualifier game and, whilst it didn’t pan out perfectly for them, their ridiculously impressive banner did the trick.
They held aloft a sign with a blurred-out phone number on it, reading: Rachel Wyse, glaoigh orm (phone me).
And it got the attention of the Sky Sports presenter who was at hand to jump into a picture with the boys – seeing as they didn’t give out the full phone number.
There she was, dealing with Jim McGuinness pulling funnies in the studio and then she goes out into more mayhem.
Fair play to her though. Top presenter, knows her football, good craic.
