The weather must have been rubbish.
Every once in a while you come across a photograph taken at a club GAA match that you know is something truly special, but you can’t quite put your finger on why it merits note.
One such photo emerged from a Killimordaly hurling match at the weekend and showing one spectator making exceptional use of a wheelie bin as a sort of makeshift windbreaker.
The person in the photograph certainly deserves some sort of prize for their ingenuity, although we’re not quite sure what body would celebrate such a feat.
Rest assured, we’ve forwarded it on to the Nobel Foundation, the people who organise the Pullitzers and the MOBO awards (that was poorly worded, they’re not organised by the same group), so surely that’s all the bases covered.
