First Gooch now this guy
We hear that Eamon Fitzmaurice is pacing up and down the hills around north Kerry ever since the end of the Allianz football league group stage.
Not because he is worried about how his side performed during the league, but where the hell he’s going to try and fit all the talent available to him into just 15 jerseys for the championship.
The All-Ireland champions just this month welcomed back Colm Cooper to action for the first time in over a year after a serious knee injury, and now the man who lit up last year’s championship is set to return.
James O’Donoghue has suffered numerous shoulder problems through his career so far and played last year’s All-Ireland final reportedly unable to lift his arms above his head after a problem during the summer.
Despite not scoring against Donegal, the Legion forward had an outstanding summer and was named Footballer of the Year.
The Kerry ace has been missing from action since shortly after the Kingdom’s All-Ireland win after an operation to sort the shoulder issue in November.
However it seems today he has made his comeback for his club legion in the Kerry county club championship against Tralee club Kerins O’Rahillys.
The corner-forward came on as a second half substitute

And it didn’t take him long to make an impression on the scoreboard
