The man is on fire.
Peter Duggan ripped up trees for Clooney-Quin in their march to the Clare senior hurling final this year. The rangy half forward was on fire all year for his club, scoring 2-13 in one game in particular against Feakle.
That red hot form hasn’t cooled down yet, with Duggan firing Clare to a comprehensive victory over Galway in the Fenway Super 11s final.
The 6 ft 3 in forward terrorised the Tipperary defence in the semi-final, but he saved his best for Galway in the decider, notching 27 points for the Banner men in a masterful display of goalscoring.
Indeed, with Clare racking up 100 points over the two games, Duggan scored 52 of them.
Each goal was as good as the next. This masterpiece, where he plucked a fine ball from the air, before turning two Galway defenders, and lashing to the net was the pick of the lot.

The whole hurling world was talking about Duggan’s display, and Clare hurling fans were licking their lips.
He could be the forward they are looking for, especially considering his ball-winning abilities.
