It’s the final round of the league and Kildare’s line-up reflects it.
The Lilywhites have already qualified for the Division Two final and won promotion to the top tear and one of two teams will be joining them – Galway or Meath.
Meath beat Galway in their head-to-head meeting so if they were to equal the Tribesmen on points, they’d qualify ahead of them. In order for that to happen, a couple of things need to play out.
In order to secure qualification they need to beat Clare in Ennis on Sunday and hope that Galway lose to Kildare. A loss would see The Tribesmen go through, as would a draw or a Kildare loss.
With this in mind, Meath will be looking at Kildare’s team for the Galway game thinking it could be a lot stronger. Just the 14 changes with six of those players being 22 or under.
