To say that we at SportsJOE weren’t fans of London GAA’s jersey last year, would be a massive understatement.
Every season, we rank all 34 intercounty GAA jerseys in terms of deliciousness – from the scum at the bottom of the container to the cream that rises to the top.
Our reasoning behind doing this is partly so that you, the reader, can see every county’s shirt in one place before the championship gets into full swing. However, a much larger part of it is because it’s just plain fun to criticise the least important part of any sport – the fashion.
Last year, one of our junior fashionistas despised London’s effort so much, that the only place he saw fit to put them in the rankings was dead last.
In his defence, the design was pretty awful.
Any hardcore fans of London GAA who haven’t already clicked out of this article to start burning effigies of the SportsJOE logo will be rewarded for their levelheadedness.
For London have a new effort for the upcoming season, and suffice to say they’ve really turned things around.
The cripplingly dull, plain green shirt has been replaced by dynamic-looking number featuring horizontal two-tone stripes.
The away jersey has been given the exact same treatment and we’re confident everyone will agree that their both far superior than last year’s efforts.
