“If Dublin get those chances in the final, they’re going to score heavily.”
Lee Keegan knows all about what Dublin can do to teams so it was no surprise to see him towing the line and backing Jim Gavin’s men to claim their fourth All-Ireland in a row.
The Mayo half-back was back on The Sunday Game panel after a Super 8s appearance on RTE (Dublin vs. Donegal) and Joe Brolly gave him more of a look-in this time.
Keegan was not shy in criticising either semi-finalists, Tyrone or Monaghan, after a cagey first half and offered some very considered, precise analysis before, during and after the game. Brolly held fort for long stretches but Keegan picked his moments.
Joe Brolly thinks Tyrone are playing with the right shape to challenge Dublin in the All-Ireland final if they can come through this semi-final against Monaghan. Watch full highlights on The Sunday Game tonight, @RTE2 from 9.30pm. pic.twitter.com/ChLFf3ec68

Following Tyrone’s one-point victory, he praised Mickey Harte’s men for being ruthless with scoring chances late in the game and waved off those late Monaghan claims for a Tiernan McCann foul on Kieran Hughes.
Keegan often struggled to get a word in te last time himself and Brolly were in front of the cameras but he acquitted himself much better today and made his voice, and opinion, heard.
The general consensus from GAA fans was that Keegan was settling into his cameo punditry role nicely and is well worth seeing on our screens again.
Lee Keegan is as good a pundit as he is a footballer, well able for Brolly

Lee Keegan talking too analytically for Joe Brolly's liking. Not enough character assassination.

We’re not sure if the Mayo star will bump the likes of Brolly, Pat Spillane or Colm O’Rourke from the RTE panel yet but he has definitely merited another invite or two, should his county’s fortunes flail next year.
