How to stop Dublin from winning another Leinster and All-Ireland title?
Many have tried, but so few have succeeded against Jim Gavin’s blue juggernaut.
Laois are the next side up to try and slow down their seemingly unassailable dominance in the province next week at Nowlan Park.
The Dubs trip down to Kilkenny is their first championship game outside of the capital in over a decade, and Laois have unveiled a weapon they hope can help them overcome the challenge of the All-Ireland champions next Saturday.
Anthony Cunningham is currently a part of Mick Lillis’ backroom team, and now it’s being reported that Shane ‘Cake’ Curran is also joining the set-up as a goalkeeping mentor.
The Irish Daily Mirror reports that Curran, who won an All-Ireland club medal St Brigids, is coming on board for next week’s clash.
Cunningham previously managed the Roscommon champions for whom Curran is legendary figure, and it is understood the Galway man is hoping that ‘Cake’s’ enthusiasm will brush off on first-choice netminder Graham Brody.
‘Cake’ took his first session last Thursday, but it is unclear if he will be on the line for next week’s clash in Kilkenny city.
