Laois footballers make young fan’s dream come true by calling around to his house for a game

The community spirit of the GAA never ceases to amaze and the footballers of Laois are just the latest in a long line of classy stories.

Young Dylan Steele, who suffers with muscular dystrophy, invited his O’Moore County heroes to his Barrowhouse home and the Laois players duly obliged in a real show of humility.

The footballers arrived for a game of football in the garden and for some refreshments at the Steele home, and young Dylan took control of the match by refereeing it.

Donie Kingston and Ross Munnelly were amongst the players t0 get involved and spend an afternoon with Dylan who had described the visit from the county team in a welcome banner as a ‘dream come true.’
