This definitely came out wrong.
Paul O’Shea will get some slagging for this from his victorious Kerry teammates.
The Kingdom’s Minor stars were pushed to the very brink by Monaghan in the All-Ireland semi-final but two points in injury time gave them a 1-16 to 2-11 victory.
Dylan Geaney, David Mangan and O’Shea were all class for Kerry and it was the latter of the trio that was awarded TG4’s man-of-the-match award.
In his post-match interview, O’Shea had an unfortunate slip of the tongue that he took a few seconds to recover from. Still out of breath from the contest, he said:
“It’s brilliant. D’ya know, we knew Monaghan would be tough and we f***ing… eh….
“We fought… we fought.”
Asked if he wanted to take another go, he smiled and said:
“We knew Monaghan would be tough and we fought it out in the end.”

Kerry will play Galway in the All-Ireland final after they beat Meath in Saturday’s semi.
