Kerry and their fans will be feeling fairly confident heading into this weekend's All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Mayo, and rightly so.
They have the finest team in the country on paper, and are beginning to play like it, as well as championship-winning pedigree, which the Green and Red simply do not.
However, Brand Geeks agency in Killorglin went overboard with their build-up celebrations, as they erected what was a fairly tasteless sign.
It features a picture of Kerry boss Jack O'Connor in a bridal gown, with the caption 'Jack, Best of luck on your big day'.
Beside him is Mayo manager Andy Moran in a bridesmaid dress, with the caption, 'Andy.... Always the bridesmaid'.
Plenty of fans were not pleased, with one commenting: "That's fairly pathetic is true...Mayo have consistently been a top 3/4 county the last 40 years. We're (Kerry) better than that...it's not funny."
Another wrote: "Setting us up for the fall, anytime we get too cocky we get our asses handed to us, remember '82? Five in a row song, the five in a row drinking glasses, the rest of the country will be cheering on Mayo and will be delighted if we go home with our tail between our legs."
Former Kerry captain, Dara Ó Cinnéide, also chimed in, writing: "Not in our name. Not Kerry."
The sign was taken down a mere 24 hours later, or possibly before.
Not in our name. Not Kerry.

Legendary Tyrone boss being proven right after staunch anti-AFL stance
He was loud about it! Tyrone’s legendary All-Ireland winning manager, Mickey Harte, has long been banging the anti-AFL drum. As far back as 2006, he was highly critical of the International Rules series, which he felt was taking away from the GAA and providing a platform for players to showcase themselves to Aussie rules teams. Kerry on verge of losing two of their best talents to AFL
Sad times. If Mayo fans think they have it bad with the departures of Kobe McDonald and Oisín Mullin to Australia, Kerry have objectively been hit worse, and it does not look to be getting any better for the Kingdom. According to a report from the Irish Examiner, U20s talents Evan Boyle and Daniel Kirby […]
