The All-Ireland hurling Championship semi-final draw took place on Monday morning.
Dublin hurler David Treacy made the draw with Darren Frehill on Morning Ireland, and the semi-finals will see defending champions Tipperary taking on neighbours Galway at this stage for a third successive year.
Galway defeated the Premier County in 2015 thanks to a late Shane Moloney point, but Tipperary edged a tight encounter last year with a John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer goal the turning point.
This clash will take place in Croke Park on Sunday, August sixth at 3:30.
This means that Munster champions Cork will take on Waterford, who defeated Wexford at the weekend, and this will be the first time these sides have met in a semi-final since 2006.
This game will take place in GAA HQ on 13 August, also at 3:30.
