Highlights: DCU are crowned Sigerson Cup champions after thrilling extra time win over UCC

They held their nerve

Someone find Tadhg Lowe because he’s owed a pint or 100 in the capital.

The DCU ‘keeper was awarded man of the match as the Dublin university side clinched the Sigerson Cup after a dramatic extra time win over Cork.

The goalie stepped up in the third minute of two minutes added time and held his nerve to nail a monstrous free kick and rescue a draw for his team who then went on and overcame the hosts.

David Culhane scored an unbelievable solo goal straight from the throw-in at the start of the second half of extra time and it looked like it might’ve been enough for UCC when it edged them back in front.

But Conor McGraynor won the day for the DCU men as his late point dethroned the champions and handed the Dublin side the title for the first time since 2012.
