From Donegal to Kerry.
We’ll start at the top of the country.
In Donegal, Michael Carroll was a powerhouse for Gaoth Dobhair in midfield and his second half point was worthy of winning any game.
In Meath, there was a famous first win for Ratoath and Conor McGill minded the house while Eamonn Wallace did the damage for them.
In Westmeath, Mark McCallion impressed for Garrycaslte while Paddy O’Kane was St Pat’s best defender in the Leinster first round.
Paddy O’Sullivan kept a crucial late penalty out for Sarsfields and impressed throughout in the Kildare final.
Darragh Nelson played a leader’s role for Ballyboden in a hard fought win while Brian Kirby and Ryan Deegan were superb for Thomas Davis.
In Clare, Gordon Kelly was typically dogged at the back in St Joseph’s win while in Kerry – the three sharpest shooters in the land did what they always do. Clifford and Tony Brosnan ripped it up while Bryan Sheehan kicked points from all angles.
Chris Blake hit 2-2 for Éire Óg Carlow while Luke Connolly ended the Cork final in two minutes.
