The GAA have handed down some fairy stuff fines to both the Tyrone and Donegal county boards tonight, after an investigation into the ugly scenes during this month’s Ulster preliminary round game.

Each board has been hit with a €5000 penalty for the unruly scenes, while Tyrone assistant manager Gavin Devlin will be left cooling his heels on the sideline for eight weeks if his ban is upheld.

It means he won’t be able to take his place on the sideline for the opening round of the All-Ireland qualifiers next month.

Both county boards have the right to appeal, and despite a number of players from both sides getting involved in the disturbance at the half time whistle, not a single player from either county will receive punishment.
