Turley played at midfield with Queen’s University Belfast in both their 2005 and 2006 Sigerson Cup final losses to IT Sligo and DCU.
His untimely passing occured on Sunday and it has left gaels far and wide shellshocked to learn of the news.

Turley’s namesake, from Downpatrick, is part of the current county panel.
The Saval club member, a former student of Abbey Grammar School, has been taken far too soon and floods of tributes are being paid in his memory.
We offer our deepest sympathies to his family, his club and all his friends and fellow Down gaels.
