Five must-see GAA games live on your TV this weekend

Lee Costello

It’s all teed up beautifully this weekend.

They say familiarity breeds contempt, and no game best epitomises this than Tyrone vs Donegal this Saturday night.

Every single year the two Ulster titans clash horns, and there’s no love lost between them, particularly last year when in the peak of summer heat, talisman Michael Murphy missed a penalty and got sent off, in a game that saw Declan Bonner’s side crash out of the championship.

The All-Ireland champion’s got their first league win of the year last weekend against Kildare, and although Donegal put in a poor performance against Kerry, nothing will get their juices flowing quite a like a trip down the not so distant memory lane of Tyrone.

Although Kildare vs Dublin is familiar territory as well, the landscape on which they are playing this weekend is very different. It may be early, but both teams could be potentially fighting it out for relegation from Division One.

Moving on to hurling, Henry Shefflin’s Galway go up against Wexford, while Limerick and Cork put on a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland final.
