One would have forgiven these lads for letting loose over Christmas and revelling in their good fortune after 10+ months of hard work.
Christmas Day found most of us in a perpetual fug. From bleary-eyed awakenings, drinks before mass, extra helpings of turkey and ham and glasses constantly being topped up, it was a day when many of us over-indulged.
The GAA stars? Some of them threw on the trackie tops/Christmas jumpers and made visits to local hospitals to provide some absolutely priceless memories.
Paul Flynn, Michael Darragh MacAuley and Bernard Brogan all paid a morning visit to Temple Street Children’s Hospital and brought along a special guest.
Happy Christmas everyone!!! Nice to pop into these Saints in @Temple_Street this morning. They are all brilliant. #happychristmas pic.twitter.com/CNu6NJj7LE

Brogan also made it over to St James’ Hospital with the hard-earned Sam Maguire…

… before getting back to his folks’ house to tuck in.
Took me 2 hours on the couch to sleep that one off!! Mammy Brogan knocks it out of the park again! @PeeBrogan #happychrimbo pic.twitter.com/2rfwYwrOqn

That certainly does look like a bottle of Lilt!
The Dubs were not the only ones to pay a visit to their local hospital to thank the staff and say hello to the patients unfortunate enough to be in over the holidays.
Dropped in some books to the kids in hospital that couldn't make it home and had to look after this crew too. #Godblessthenurses #legends pic.twitter.com/zqd76zTPfY

Top work all round.
