Now that the dust has settled it is a good opportunity to discuss two massive penalty calls at the end of Dublin v Galway, which went a long way to deciding the game.
The Tribesmen had a six-point lead over the Sky Blues in the second half, but this was quickly clawed back, with a lot of help from a controversial penalty, which was duly converted by Con O'Callaghan.
Colm Basquel drove at the Galway defence and was cynically taken down by Liam Silke, in what was an obvious black-card tackle.
However, what was not as clear was whether it should have been a penalty, as Galway did have a defender ready to meet Basquel if he got through Silke, as you can see in both clips below.
There was further controversy as Galway felt that they should have been given a penalty of their own from referee David Gough.
A shot from Shane Walsh hit the post before captain John Maher came charging on to the ball, but he was taken down in the box by Ciarán Kilkenny.
Gough argued that Kilkenny merely stood his ground, and went back for a previous free kick for Galway.
