Success follows success.
Finally the Cork GAA board appear to be realising they can learn something from their female counterparts, who have been hoovering up All-Irelands in camogie and football for years now.
According to the Irish Examiner, it appears that Eamon Ryan, arguably the most successful ladies football manager of all time, is set to link up with the Cork senior footballers for 2016.
Peader Healy is finalising his backroom team for his debut season as Cork senior football boss, and he is looking to the long-serving ladies football boss to come on board.
Ryan, who it was revealed after Cork’s September truiumph, was battling cancer for the last number of years, has been in charge of the Rebelettes for the last 12 seasons.
Tony Leen claims that the Cork ladies team has been informed of his departure, which will be a huge blow to the reigning All-Ireland champions who have won 10 of the last 11 titles on offer.
Talk of Eamon Ryan having role in backroom with Cork men's team interesting. Similar vintage to Mickey Whelan. Wonder if makes same impact?
