Four All-Irelands, four All-Stars, 12 years at the top.
At just 27, Anna Geary is already a veteran and a legend of Cork GAA.
But the camogie star has called it a day on the inter-county scene after over a decade with the Rebels.
Geary, who captained the side to All-Ireland success last September, is the current Rose of Tralee for the county and has cited career as the main reason for the decision which has left her with a ‘heavy heart’.
The Milford girl broke into the Cork senior side when she was still an U16 and went on to deliver on her early promise but, this evening, she put out this statement to call time on a fantastic playing stint.
It's with a heavy heart that I send this out. The good wishes have been overwhelming already.Thank u all.Corcaigh Abu pic.twitter.com/NBWK8QAc7Q
