One of the all-time greats.
Dr Crokes are the All-Ireland SFC club champions for 2017 after defeating Slaughtneil by 1-09 to 1-07 in Croke Park on St Patrick’s Day.
The Ulster champions were forced to play the entire second-half with 14 men after Padraig Cassidy, who bagged a goal, was shown a red card just before the break.
After the final whistle, one man was the talk of Twitter for fans of Kerry football and indeed neutrals tuning in.
He kicked an impressive 1-02, he scored the crucial 20th minute goal that ultimately proved to be the difference between the two sides and he picked up the one medal that was missing from his collection.
We are of course talking about the one and only, Colm ‘Gooch’ Cooper.

Unsurprisingly, the general mood for most people not supporting Slaughtneil was one of delight for the football legend who finally won that elusive medal.
