Only four counties represented.
Kilkenny secured their 36th All-Ireland Senior hurling title on Sunday after a championship that, Galway v Tipp semi final aside, left a lot to be desired in excitement.
Not that will trouble Brian Cody too much this afternoon as the Kilkenny boss and his charges make their way back to the city for their homecoming.
But there is no doubting that the race for Liam McCarthy in 2015 failed to really capture the imagination and that no team, apart from Waterford, really made an impact this season.
And that fact was reflected in the Sunday Game Team of the Year which was selected last night.
Unsurprisingly Kilkenny dominate with seven players in total represented with the other eight remaining spots being divided between the three other semi finalists.
Galway’s Colm Callanan got the goalkeeper jersey while the full back line was made up of Kilkenny’s Paul Murphy, All-Ireland winning captain Joey Holden and in the opposite corner Cathal Barrett of Tipperary.
The half-back line sees Daithi Burke of Galway on the wing, with breakout star Tadhg de Búrca of Waterford holding the middle, and a contender for player of the year Cillian Buckley on the other wing.
All-Ireland final man-of-the-match Michael Fennelly is joined in the middle of the field by David Burke.
The half-forward line is unsurprisingly dominated by two Kilkenny men as TJ Reid and Richie Hogan are complimented by everyone’s favourite post match interviewee Johnny Glynn at number 10.
The full-forward line also takes care of itself as Kilkenny newbie Ger Aylward takes the number 13 slot, while Seamus Callanan is rightly recognised for his impression of a human wrecking ball on the edge of the square and Maurice Shanahan of Waterford makes up the starting 15.

Tj Reid was unsurprisingly the entire panel’s choice for hurler of the year.
