Anthony Daly is back in the game after Dublin stint with Limerick underage role

Clare man to work magic with Treaty county

Conan Doherty

We hope the Limerick lads are ready for plenty of puking.

After all, Anthony Daly told us himself the ins and outs of puking before peaking.  Just a word of warning, folks.

But what a coup for the Shannonsiders who today welcome the former Clare and Dublin boss as Director of Limerick’s Underage Hurling Academy.

The two-time All-Ireland winner will work with all of Limerick’s underage hurling squads from U14 up to minors.  The Limerick Leader reported that Daly, who stepped down in the autumn from the Dublin senior role after six years in charge, will also act as a coach for the U18 team under the management of Leo O’Connor.

He’s not going to be a bad man to have steering the ship anyway.  Exciting times for Limerick.
