He seems like a right character
Even though Sky Sports reported it as breaking news last night, it seems that everyone was well aware that Sean O’Driscoll was about to be unveiled as Liverpool’s new No 2 to Brendan Rodgers.
BREAKING NEWS: Sky Sources – Sean O'Driscoll to join Liverpool as assistant manager. More on #SSNHQ

The Liverpool boss has been talking up his latest acquisition at Anfield, and today has hailed his fellow Irishman’s arrival at Anfield as a major development in the club’s future,
“My admiration for Sean, as a professional, is well documented. He is someone with a clear vision and philosophy and has proved he has the ability to transfer that knowledge, through his coaching, to the players. I am looking forward to working with him and also learning from his experiences and gaining valuable knowledge from his expertise.”
And not one mention of character. Gutted.
The Irishman does come with a very good coaching reputation, especially from his former’s players, but we have to say it’s this interview when O’Driscoll was manager of Bristol City in 2013 that has us truly excited for his arrival to the Premier League.
The former Republic Of Ireland man gets all defensive after a 2-1 loss to Brentford, and spits out his dummy before chewing up the poor BBC reporter who has to ask him the questions.
If this was MTV’s boiling point we’d say the screen would fill red around the 0.40 mark.
He dismisses pretty much every question thrown his way with the pity response of ‘that’s a stupid question’ and tries to either cool his face or get rid of annoying bee circling his face while doing so with some interesting hand gestures.

Rodgers in fairness does most of the post-match interviews at Liverpool anyway, but if he does ever have to miss one then we are setting our Sky+ to record.
